Lev Eisha of Adat Shalom

Lev Eisha--A joyous community of Jewish women engaged in prayer, study and spiritual growth

DRUMMING MADNESS!!

Drumming Madness is a late afternoon drum circle with our own Chris Gacsi at Adat Shalom. That soulful and spirited drummer on Shabbat morning is a drum circle facilitator and ethnomusicologist. Chris will be bringing out all kinds of drums and percussion and leading us in a Jewish Jam that will rock the house. No experience is necessary. Just come and enjoy the scintillating rhythms we'll create together while sipping and dipping from South of the border.

Chris Gacsi

This is a Lev Eisha Special Event. We will be at Adat Shalom on Sunday, June 29, from 4-6 p.m. to drum with Chris (the newer percussionist at our services). You must respond ahead of time (drumming@leveisha.org) and pay at the event ($18 for members of Lev Eisha, $20 for guests). Your RSVP reserves you a drum to use and commits you to payment.

Members, please attend the General Meeting on Thursday, June 12, at 7:00 p.m. in Newmark Hall at Adat Shalom. Bring your ideas and inspirations, discuss the future of Lev Eisha, and vote on the new slate of officers.

The service is a modern interpretation of the Shabbat morning service, filled with music, dancing and sharing, especially designed to meet the needs of women, under the leadership of Rabbi Toba August and cantorial singer Cindy Paley. We usually meet on the first Saturday of the month at Adat Shalom, at the corner of National and Westwood. Please check the Calendar for exact dates and Directions for the location.

Our second Women's Seder was a great success!! Thanks to all who attended for singing, dancing and bringing the spirit of Lev Eisha. If you didn't get a chance to enjoy our Haggadah and Pesach Cookbook, or if you want more copies, they're each available for a donation of chai. For more information check the order form.
